Born in Brigham City, Utah, and now residing in Farmington, Utah, Dr. Gregory Oman has had a life and education that has taken him many places. During his elementary school years, he attended schools in Woods Cross, Utah; West Bountiful, Utah; Cheyenne, Wyoming; Grand Forks, North Dakota; Great Falls, Montana; Murray, Utah; and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He graduated from Viewmont High School in Bountiful, Utah, in 1973. While there, he played football, basketball, and baseball.
Post-high school education included a year at Weber State College, a year at Ricks College (where he was quarterback on the football team), and two years at Utah State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.
Dr. Oman attended The Dental School at Northwestern University, one of the finest dental schools in the United States. He was affiliated with the American Student Dental Association, serving as a Trustee to the ASDA for the North Central United States.
Dr. Oman is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists and is active in several professional societies, belonging to the American Dental Association, the Utah Dental Association (where he served on the Board of Trustees for seven years), the Salt Lake Dental Society (where he served as President), the South Davis Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He is a former member of the International Dental Health Foundation.
Dr. Oman served as the dental representative on the Radiation Control Board of the Department of Environmental Quality for the State of Utah for 8 years. He also served as the editor of the Utah Dental Association for seven years, publishing numerous op-ed pieces.
He has been married to his wife, Joyce, who is a registered nurse with a bachelor’s degree in health education, since 1979. They are the lucky parents of two children. Their daughter, Becki, earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in speech pathology from Utah State University. Their son, Ben, earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering at Utah State University. Ben and his wife, Melissa, are the parents of two children. Becki and her husband, Kyle, have four children.
Dr. Oman’s pursuits are reading and more reading, with a little golf, gardening, church, and civic work, among other pursuits.
Jamie is our office manager. She has many years of experience and helps all the treatment procedures in the operatory flow with ease and achieve the expected results. She is well versed in all of the digital technology we have in the office. If you have questions about your care, Jamie can help with any explanation you may need.
Kris is our dental hygienist. She has training in periodontal therapy and is current on the latest techniques in preventive dental care. We appreciate her thorough, kind practice of the art of dental hygiene. She has significant experience in private dental practice and hygiene education. If you have questions, feel free to discuss them with Kris.
Natasha is our chairside assistant. She enjoys outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, or just about anything that is done outside. She has a great desire to serve and help every client have a good experience while receiving dental care.
