Fillings

Our office provides two types of restorative material. We use composite resin that is bonded to tooth structure. The other restorative material is our CEREC material. It is a porcelain ceramic that is the finest material available in the dental profession.

Root Canals

A tooth may need a root canal for many reasons. If you value your teeth and want to keep them, a root canal may be prescribed under various conditions and for various reasons. Generally, root canals are done when a nerve (the pulp) is degrading and dying. This can be manifested in many different stages or phases. If a nerve is degrading and there are signs that it is, a root canal ought to be done, even if the tooth doesn’t hurt at the time. The fee for a root canal does not include subsequent restorations, like a filling or a crown. Root canals have a high probability of success, but complications can arise, such as extremely narrow canals, undetected extra canals, perforations of the root, inadvertently broken instruments. We take all the care and caution we possibly can, but the unexpected can happen.

Crowns

A crown is a prosthetic tooth constructed with gold or porcelain. It covers a small ‘thimble’ of tooth that is shaped by the dentist. A fractured, weak tooth may need a crown. A tooth doesn’t need a root canal in order to have a crown placed, but a root canal tooth generally will need a crown.

Bridges

A bridge is used to fill in spaces from lost teeth. A bridge can be removable or it can be cemented. Fixed or cemented bridges are more expensive, but they are more stable and life-like.

Cosmetic Dentistry

We provide several cosmetic dental services including vital bleaching and porcelain veneers. A porcelain veneer is a porcelain shield that is custom-made to fit your tooth. We can improve color and shape with life-like results.
